You’re a man who strives to live a Catholic life in accordance with the Magesterium of The Church and close to The Sacraments. You’re not perfect and acknowledge you need to grow in holiness yourself (who doesn’t?); but you want to accompany a younger man as he discovers the truth and beauty of Catholicism. You don’t need to be a saint to accompany another man as a Claymore leader. Men like you are the backbone of the Claymore movement.

What to Expect

The Claymore mentorship program is a commitment rooted in faith, service, and intentional relationship. Leaders meet with their disciple weekly and participate in periodic group formation sessions.

You do not need to have all the answers. You simply need to be willing to listen, share your own journey, and show up consistently.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much time is required?

A leader typically meets with a disciple once a week (in-person, phone, or video) for about an hour. Additional opportunities for group gatherings may also present themselves through the Claymore initiative. The duration of this relationship is expected to last a minimum of 6 months.

Do I need prior experience?

No prior formal experience is needed. We provide training and resources to help you succeed. What matters most is your willingness to walk alongside someone in their journey.

What does the matching process look like?

After your application is reviewed, our team will match you with a disciple based on shared interests, availability, and goals. You will be introduced before the program officially begins.

Is there ongoing support for leaders?

Yes. Leaders receive initial training, access to a resource library, and regular check-ins with program coordinators throughout the mentorship period.
